This is a Lecture Demo Event and you do not need to bring your machines just a smile
Sewing Academy is a fun-filled, two-day event that is a must see for all quilting and sewing enthusiasts.
The first day will feature Embroidery and Embellishing in the 21st Century. Ever wonder how hard it is to do Applique, or what is a Sashiko Machine and what does it do? This event will demystify these two and much more.
Emily Carter, a premier educator from Baby lock, will explore all forms of applique, demonstrate the Sashiko machine and why you might like this unique machine.
Her trunk show is spectacular. She will demonstrate the Embellisher and teach the ins and outs of embellishing in the 21st century. All of this on day one.
Day two will feature how to quilt using your serger. Emily will give you some great ideas about why you would want to use a serger to quilt.
She will also cover software for your sewing and embroidery needs. She will take the confusion out of selecting the right software for your needs. Seating is limited, so please call the shop to save a seat for this event 703-490-1536
