Embroidery Club
This club meets the 2nd Saturday of each month, at 10 AM in the education center located at 203 Washington Street, Occoquan, VA. Everyone is welcome no matter what brand sewing or embroidery machine you have. We do demos and you get to take home the free design as long as you bring a USB stick to load it for you to enjoy when you get home.
You can call the shop to let us know that you will be able to come or last minute drop-ins are welcome too.
Our May 12th demonstration will be the continuous border hoop! Techniques for continuous border without the special hoop will also be discussed. So stop in and join the fun….

Emboidery You Want to Touch with Dini
Guess who is coming to Attic Treasures Dini from Momo Dini Designs!!! This event will leave you wanting to do lots more embroidery. Dini has the most beautiful designs and she will show you how to sew them out so that they are always soft on the garment.
The first project you will be doing is a Georgette Scarf, You will combine the elusive,delicate,wisp quality of dragonflies with the beautiful Georgette scarf.
Discover how to create nearly reversible embroideries on sheer fabric. learn to hoop shear fabrics, delicate fabrics and more. You will leave this class with the confidence to recreate so soft embroideries.
Day two: You will create this pretty tablecloth. The designs have been chosen to compliment the woven Jacquard fabric. This project is done with out the use of stablibilzer. You will learn this technique and the in’s and out’s of when and how to use stabilizers.

Learn Your Serger with Emily Carter
We will be offering a Serger event on two different days.
In the first class you will have a half day of education on the in’s and out’s of your Baby lock serger. Emily will share the years of serging experience she has gained using the Baby lock sergers.
we will have two sessions that you can pick from, so we hope that this class will fit into your busy schedules.
The second class is an all day sit and sew in which you will complete a lovely Satchel that is made up of several different techniques,from inserting a zipper to using your wave stitch.

Ellisimo Guide Class
This class is open to anyone who purchased a Ellisimo from Attic Treasures. You will learn the basics of the sewing side of your machine. From how to use the V foot to making buttonholes, and much more.

Guide Classes for your Machines
We have now added a new way to take your guide class for your machine, from the 10 needle to the sofia you can sign up for a 6 Part series on how your machine works.
You will learn the in’s and out’s of your machine. We will use the workbook that goes with your machine when it is available.
You will learn how to hoop the hoopless ( like a collar or cuff of a shirt ) How to embroidery a terry towel, We will do cut work. You will also make stand alone lace.Last but not least we will take a look into the rules for knits.
The sewing side of your machine will be a separate class in which we will cover the sewing features of your model machine.

There is no charge for these classes. You can take them only once (you still can call the shop for lessons and set up a time to relearn them if you need to or anything else about your machine.)
